FALTU

At the very outset I would like to state that this post is not about the movie that released recently. It is about something that was dealt with to some extent in the movie, and about which I had read and written something a long time ago. For all those who are still confused about what this post is all about, let me tell you that it's about 'marks' in examinations and their relation to 'success'.
Is getting high marks in an examination the only determinant of being successful in one's life? This is the question, which I would be trying to answer through this post.

ARE WE BRIDGING THE GAP?

The murder of Radhika Tanwar, a student of Ram Lal Anand College, by her stalker in broad daylight in the national capital on 8 March, 2011 once again brought the topic of the safety of girls in the city to the forefront. This was then discussed and written about by the media and people in general over the next few days. And with the arrest of the suspected killer, all this came to an end.

FUTURE AHEAD...

I am sitting in my room and, with a tad more than a month to go for my college life to come to an end, I'm thinking. Thinking about the 'FUTURE', which nobody has seen, nobody can be sure of. What does our future have in store for us? We all want to know the answer, but are afraid of finding it out.

UNWANTED ROADBLOCKS

I was sitting at a corner table in Barista with a pen in hand, and my writing pad opened to a fresh new page. For the past fifteen minutes I had been staring blankly at the white sheet in front of me, unable to write anything. But, as soon as a cup of Cappuccino was placed in front of me, an idea struck and I started scribbling. And, this is what I wrote about for the next fifteen minutes.

STUNG BY A SCORPION CALLED...

Before I get to the main point of this post, let me start with a basic fact about me. Till the time I was in school, i.e. Class 12th, I used to detest books and hate reading. The avid reader that I now am was not even a distant dream at one point of time. I don't know how this scorpion called books stung me, but I'm glad that it did. The people around me, especially my friends, are surprised to see me read so vigorously, and are even more surprised when they get to know that just a few years ago I hated reading.

THE RESURRECTION

It has been quite a while since I have written anything. I don't know how and why I went into a state of dormancy. But, now I am back, and back with a bang. The two things, which I like the most are 'reading' and 'writing'. Reading - regularly, but writing - rarely. This time around I hope to be more regular on the blogging and writing front. I'll try my hand at writing about anything and everything I think I'm capable of. So, keep waiting for my next post, which would be coming up soon. Till then, happy waiting. :-)
